Jean VERAME

French Land art artist

Born in 1936

This sculptor, originally from Belgium,  is well known for his excellent atypical work of nomadic art in desert landscapes all over the world.

From the Agriades desert in Corsica where he painted two kilometres of rocks, or the Sinai in Egypt where he erected seventeen stones, to the Moroccan Anti-atlas where he painted spectacularly countless granite rocks.

These works, judged by their  magnitude, seem like a performance, they use local techniques and pigments of deep and contrasting tones specific to each of the countries gone through.
