Jim DENEVAN

American Land art artist

Born in 1961

He is considered the forerunner of spectacular graphic works created in situ on beaches, and sometimes on ice or earth.

His works in sand, erased by the rising tide, are by nature extremely ephermeral.  They are made up of enormous lines usually following circular shapes finishing with straight or curved lines.

They invoke the traces of pre Inca of Nazca, the first footprints, to this day unsolved, left on earth of the indiens of Peru.
