She was one of the founders of Earthworks, notably because of her installation « Sun Tunnels » created at the beginning of the 1970’s.
Installed in the midst of a desert region, the iconic work of the Earthworks movement includes three ciment cylinders disposed in such a way as to collect the sun rays at summer solstice and winter solstice.
It ressembles meglithic antiquities, indistinguisable from their mystical dimension and the sun’s cosmology.
