Robert Clarke MORRIS

American Land art artist

Born in 1931 and died in 2018

As an American artist and writer, he was one of the most emblematic figures of minimalist sculpture and the Earthworks movement.

His architectural works are inspired by the Eastern and Neolithic sites, which consist of square or circular enclosures crossed by steering axes with high symbolic potential poised at the edge of the civilized world and  virgin nature.

His architectural buildings such as "the Observatory" which uses the power of granite or "The Glass Labyrinth", the transparency of glass, which can be perceived simultaneously from the inside or the outside, offer a multitude of visual perceptions involving the notion of movement.
